Dunn's River Falls and Beach Horseback
Dunn's River Falls is about 600 ft above sea level, with beautiful crystal clear water running down the mountain into the ocean. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to climb all the way up the mountain. There are places along the way where you are able to slide down into pools of water, take a swim and climb again. It’s the most popular Caribbean attraction... There are trained guides at the falls that will assist you up the falls, or if you are more daring you can take the climb without the guides. There are also places where you can change your clothing and rent shoes if you do not want to use your own sneakers for climbing adventure. Please bring a towel and cameras should be waterproof if you are climbing the falls. Lockers are available for rental where you can store your belongings.
Your Beach Horseback Ride and Swim adventure . You will be greeted by the eager staff at the Horseback Ride facility, who will be waiting to show you a good time. You will receive a safety briefing before setting out on your ride. Helmets are provided and are mandatory to be worn. The ride will be a single file ride. Your ride will be slow along the trail as most riders are not experienced. There will be places along the way where the horses will be able to trot a little. Your guide will point out the variety of local vegetables grown by farmers on the rural trail, which will lead you onto a stretch of white sandy beach, where you will experience the tranquil beauty of the Caribbean Sea. Next is a trail that takes you back to the private beach. On arrival at the beach the guides will assist you to dismount your horse so that you can get ready for the swim before you strip down to your bathing suits, for a dash through the waves on horseback. For your safety, we keep the saddles on, so you do not have to worry about staying on your horse. Enjoy this once in a Lifetime experience of swimming on your horse in paradise. With this experience you will enjoy riding the horse for approximately 45 minutes, which includes the swim section of approximately 5 minutes.
