Dunn's River Falls and Bob Marley

Come see where Bob Marley the legendary King of Reggae was born in the village of Nine Mile St. Ann on the 6th of February 1945 and where he was laid to rest on the 21st of May 1981 in a mausoleum that you can touch. Bob Marley died on the 11th of May 1981 but up to today his music still reigns. Your journey begins with a drive through fern gully and you will see farmers attending to their farm and herds, until you arrive at the community of nine miles in St Ann, where Bob Marley was born and his final resting place. There you can tour the house where he grew up in, meet the people that grew up with him, touch the bed he actually slept on, and get to know him well. His music lives on with no end in sight. Dunn's River Falls is about 600 ft above sea level, with beautiful crystal clear water running down the mountain into the ocean. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to climb all the way up the mountain. There are places along the way where you are able to slide down into pools of water, take a swim and climb again. It’s the most popular Caribbean attraction... There are trained guides at the falls that will assist you up the falls, or if you are more daring you can take the climb without the guides. There are also places where you can change your clothing and rent shoes if you do not want to use your own sneakers for climbing adventure. Please bring a towel and cameras should be waterproof if you are climbing the falls. Lockers are available for rental where you can store your belongings. This combo is an experience you have to see, feel and you will cherish.
