Dunn's River Falls and Bamboo River Rafting

Dunn's River Falls is about 600 ft above sea level, with beautiful crystal clear water running down the mountain into the ocean. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to climb all the way up the mountain. There are places along the way where you are able to slide down into pools of water, take a swim and climb again. It’s the most popular Caribbean attraction...There are trained guides at the falls who will assist you up the falls, or if you are more daring you can take the climb without the guides. There are also places where you can change your clothing and rent shoes if you do not want to use your own sneakers for climbing adventure. Please bring a towel and cameras should be waterproof if you are climbing the falls. Lockers are available for rental where you can store your belongings. It is an experience you have to see and feel and you will cherish.

Enjoy a 45 - 60 minutes relaxing ride down the White River on a raft which is made of bamboo a tropical plant of the reed family, which is very sturdy.  The rafts are made up of long bamboo logs bound together to make your raft about 4 feet wide and about 25 to 30 feet long. An elevated “loveseat” or “lounge chair”, also made from bamboo, provides seating for the passengers. The skilled, licensed Raft Captain will take you on the river while you relax and absorb the beauty of the surrounding. Your Captain may regale you with local lore and information about flora and fauna of the area.   As you relax on your raft with your raft captain you will hear birds chirping, feeling the island breeze in between your toes, the Jamaican sun illuminating your skin, while also hearing Reggae music playing in the distance as you travel on the river.

When the river is dam, your raft captain will take you up the river to the midway point and then down pass the starting point to the Ocean before going back to the starting point.
